NHTSA recall 14V470000 · announced August 1, 2014 · filed by Porsche Cars North America, Inc. · 7 units affected

The problem

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain model year 2015 Macan vehicles manufactured March 6, 2014, to April 26, 2014. During manufacturing, the brake booster may have been damaged during installation.

The risk

If the brake booster was damaged during installation, the vacuum in the brake booster may drop when the brakes are actuated, resulting in a reduced brake force boost, increasing the risk of a crash.
