Seat Belts

NHTSA recall 18V481000 · announced July 25, 2018 · filed by Forest River, Inc. · 707 units affected

The problem

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Glaval Apollo, Commute, Concorde II, Entourage, Legacy, Primetime, Titan II, Titan II Low Floor, and Universal transit buses. A washer used in mounting the passenger's seat belt assembly may break, allowing the seat-belt to separate from the vehicle.

The risk

If the seat belt end does not remain secured to the vehicle, the occupant will not be restrained in the event of a crash, increasing their risk of injury.

What to do

Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will replace the seat belt mounting washers, free of charge. The recall began on August 20, 2018. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-343-5167. Forest River's number for this recall is 35-0751. Note: This recall supersedes 18V376.
