Recall 21E070000: Parking Brake, Electrical, Control Module, Software

The problem

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, LLC (Bendix) is recalling certain Intellipark Dash Electronic Control Units (DECU) with part number K183042R000. The DECU may fail to activate the parking brake, causing the vehicle to unintentionally move.

The risk

Unintentional vehicle movement can increase the risk of a crash.

What to do

Dealers will update the software, or replace the DECU, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 30, 2021. Owners may contact Bendix customer service at 1-877-345-9526.
