Altec Recall 25V820000: Equipment, Mechanical, Boom/crane/ladder

The problem
Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2025 LR8 Series vehicles. The collar on the lockbolts for the shear plates may have been improperly formed during assembly, resulting in bolt failure.
The risk
Shear plate lockbolt failure can result in separation of the elevator sub-base and truck frame, increasing the risk of injury.
What to do
Altec will inspect the lockbolts and and replace them as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 23, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3266.
