Pier 1 Imports Recalls Swivel Dining Chairs Due to Fall Hazard

The product
This recall involves Pier 1 Imports Capella Island Swivel Dining chairs. The plastic wicker chairs have a natural wood color. The chair measures about 26 inches wide by 26 inches deep and 39 inches high.
The hazard
The chairs can break at the base, posing fall hazard to the user.
What to do (per CPSC)
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled chairs and return them to any Pier 1 Imports store for a full refund or a merchandise credit. Remedy type: Refund
Notes
Incidents (per CPSC): Pier 1 Imports has received three reports of the chairs breaking, including two reports of customers falling. No injuries have been reported.
Sold at: Pier 1 Imports stores nationwide and online at Pier1.com from January 2015 through October 2015 for between $240 and $500.
